The Simril(l)s
The Simril(l)s are two families, one Black one White, from North Carolina with a history going back to slavery. I created the animated open as well as an animated family tree for a documentary by CNN. I wanted a feel of a family scrapbook for the open showing some of the two families’ histories, and have a bit of a hand touched, human feel.
